FIRST RESPONDERS HOLIDAY PARTY
Friday, December 29, 2017

For several years the Campbell County First Responders (Police Dept, Fire Dept, and EMT’s) have thrown a huge holiday party for Residential Treatment girls. It’s not just a regular holiday party, it’s a party with a purpose. You see, many of the girls come from backgrounds where interactions with law enforcement may have been negative. A loved one may have been arrested or an ambulance may have been called due to violence or abuse. This provides an opportunity for them to …spend time with police officers, fire fighters, and EMT’s in a positive environment.

The First Responders raised funds for months to make this night happen. They received donations from the following: Fraternal Order of Police, Campbell County Fire Department #1, Melbourne Volunteer Fire Department, Silver Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Eastern Campbell Volunteer Fire Department, Camp Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Campbell County Police Department, Campbell County Middle School, Camp Springs Herbst Tour, the food was donated and provided by Jack’s Catering. Additional funds were even raised at a Guest Bartending event Pepperoncini’s Pizza in Alexandria.

These amazing individuals organized and made this event happen: Lt. Eric Noble & Office Tom Lakes, with help from Goldie Lakes, Campbell County Sheriff Mike Jansen, Sandy Decker, Krissi Peters, and Kerry Glenn (see if you can spot him in the photos!). We cannot express our thanks enough. It was truly a magical night!
