HOLIDAY SUPPORT NEEDED…
Friday, December 29, 2017

Can the holidays be just around the corner?!?! The families we serve are low-income and the gift they get from Holly Hill during Christmastime means a lot because it might be the only gift they receive. Last year, a 17-year-old girl shared that this was the second Christmas she’d ever had. Can you imagine a child not being able to experience the joy and wonder of the season? We are thankful that won’t happen to our children, but not without your support.

The need for Holly Hill Child & Family Solutions continues to grow. In fiscal 2017 we served over 3,000 children and families through our four programs: Residential Treatment, Child Therapy, Case Management, and Supervised Visitation. We continue to be the only Residential Treatment facility serving adolescent girls and offer the only Supervised Visitation program in Northern Kentucky.

In an effort to make this ambitious project a little easier, we have listed all the ways you can support Holly Hill and the children and families we serve:

Adopt a Family – You will be given a wish list for a family and would provide items from those lists to the family. These are families where the parents/guardians need assistance in providing a nice holiday to their children.

Angel Tree Gifts – You can choose how many gifts you would like to provide to the adolescent girls that are participating in our Residential Treatment Program. Each girl has a wish list. We generally have about 22 girls at the home at any given time, so you can buy a gift for 1 girl or all 22.

Community-Based Services – This is similar to the Angel Tree, except these children are receiving services from Holly Hill and are living with a parent/guardian. You will let us know how many children you would like to purchase gifts for and receive a wish list where you would purchase one item from the list.

Gift Wrappers– We need people that like to organize, wrap, and label gifts. We could also use donations of wrapping paper, tissue paper, and tape.

Party Food Donations– We will need a variety of desserts and other food items for our parties that will take place the week before Christmas.

Monetary Donation– You can give a monetary donation to the holiday project and we will use your donation to purchase a gift for a child where it’s needed the most.

Because there is so much planning and coordination required to help the children and families in all of our programs, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible if you are able to help this year. Feel free to call me at 859-635-0500 or email at jadee@hollyhill-ky.org . Thank you again for your help with this yearly event. We know its continued success is because of your spirit of giving back to the community. Your participation in our celebration is what makes it possible for us to bring joy to the lives of the children we serve.

Most sincerely,
Jonathan Adee
Executive Director, Holly Hill Child & Family Solutions
